At Off Highway Van, we love a custom touch, a premium finish, a plush fabric. This year, we've taken custom to a whole new level. From custom material combinations, to loaded builds, and color schemes that pop, we've compiled a list of our staff's favorite builds the past year. Check them out here!
1. Doc Holliday 144 Pro-XR | $308,999 | #190
Everyone loves to talk about loaded vans, few actually build them out. This customer went all out on their Doc Holliday Pro-XR from the custom cabinet faces and Lagun table to the full adoption of our R Package. They went with a Black River + Walnut resin treatment that complements their Clara white countertop and Gambler's Gun powder coat.
The Interior
We've talked about the interior design but, it's not the only thing we love about this particular Doc Holliday build; we love the interior and exterior upgrade combo as well. For the interior, the customer optioned this build with a 3' x 5' skylight, custom resin cabinet faces, a 700W microwave, a premium Delta faucet, and more!
Pro-XR Package+ Upgrades
We love the aesthetic and the function provided by our R Package. It includes items like a CATuned Offroad front bumper, skid plate kit, integrated Warn winch, Baja Designs LP9 bumper lights and more! But they didn't just stop at one package. They also added a 3'x 5' Skylight, 17kW power system, Starlink, and a WeBoost. Talk about form and function.
2. Davey Jackson 170 Pro | $250,999 | #179
For those that are looking for a slightly more traditional RV experience, let us introduce the Davey Jackson. With a modular floorplan designed to give you everything you've come to expect from a traditional RV including options for a full standing shower and more! With the 170 floorplan, you get close to 3 extra feet of livable space and these customers took full advantage of that space.
The Interior
This customer opted for some fantastic interior features available in the Davey Jackson 170. These include the extended galley, 200L drawer refrigerator, dual burner integrated induction cooktop, Mod Pod convertible cafe seating, full-height standing shower, 3' x 5' skylight, and additional cabinets.
Though we love the features and functions of this van, the design also needs to be mentioned. This natural palette brings the perfect level of outside in with its Lonseal wood + walnut flooring, surf green powder coat mixed with parchment walls make this van look at home with any natural backdrop.
Upgrades + Add Ons
Not only did this customer kit out the interior of their van, they made sure the exterior was as functional as possible. With a Dark Star Offroad HALO roof rack, 12V Nomadic A/C unit, Girard legless power awning, CATuned offroad bumper, a large OWL box combined with a B2 and Sherpa rack, a Dark Star Offroad side ladder, and 1UP bike trays, they are prepared for anything their adventures may throw at them.
3. Davey Jackson 170 Pro | $257,999 | #193
This van is special to us for more than a few reasons. This project was brought to us by one of our previous van owners as an upgrade to her current Off Highway Van built on the ProMaster chassis. With her second build, she took custom to heart. Though we offer thousands of fabric options, she chose some of her own interior materials to give her van her very own personal touch.
The Interior
This customer took our custom approach to heart. Starting off with choosing her own cushions and seatback fabric, she accented it beautifully with a desert mauve powder coat on her seatboxes, half-height shower, and expanding bed. She finished her build off with gray wolf Lonseal flooring, and a slate gray solid-surface countertop. And who could look past the 3' x 5' skylight?!
This customer also chose to sub out her Mod Pod seating system for additional seatbox storage. The modularity of the Davey Jackson, is truly unmatched in the industry.
Upgrades + Add Ons
Like many of the vans we build, this Davey Jackson was optioned with a 13' x 8' Girard legless awning to extend the livable space of the van outside and cover the Quickdraw fold out exterior table. This customer also opted for her storage to be mostly internal with a Supply Slider Cargo tray and removing the rear racks from her build. She also opted for bug screens for her rear and slider doors so she can let the outside in more easily.
4. Sundance Kid 144 Pro | $260,999 | #182
The first thing you'll notice about this Sundance Kid is it's not in our standard exterior color scheme, and we're not upset about it. But, this isn't the only thing special about this build. This was the first van off the production line optioned with our all new Arctic Package. This package includes features like our all new hydronic heated floor, a 3rd layer of Thinsulate insulation, an additional heater, and more!
The Interior
This interior is custom from the ground up. From the LonCoin flooring, to the distressed walnut cabinetry, and even the custom upholstered Poseidon Ultraleather front seats. Add in the 3' x 5' skylight, Nomadic 48V A/C system, JL Audio system, and hydronic heated floors and you have one of our favorite interiors designed to date. This interior also features one of our first expandable north-south bed platforms making it one of the most innovative interiors we've built out.
Upgrades + Add Ons
This van is all about function when it comes to the exterior. This customer optioned their van with the Evictus 2.65" suspension kit, a Dark Star Offroad rear step and side ladder, a 48V Nomadic A/C system, a Dark Star Offroad Limited Slip Differential, and a power legless awning.
Whether you're accessing remote zones or boondock camping, this van is purpose built to handle everything overland you can throw at it from winter ski days to summer desert adventures.
5. Sundance Kid 144 Pro-X | $266,999 | #189
This Sundance Kid build proves that even though this model is focused on extended overlanding adventure, there is still room for luxurious touches throughout the build. This build features our all new solid-surface countertops, a 700W microwave, 48V Nomadic A/C system, Evictus suspension, and premium finishes throughout the build.
The Interior
This interior is all about bringing the outside in. From the walnut cabinets to the hide cushions the natural finishes play perfectly off of the Gambler's Gun powder coat and the Cascade Black solid-surface countertops. This interior also features our north-south expandable bed that has solved the sleeping conundrum for those of us that are over 6' tall, but still want to sleep comfortably in our vans.
This customer also opted for an additional 2 captain's chairs to allow their van to seat up to 4 and sleep 3 comfortably thanks to the convertible cafe seating area.
Upgrades + Add Ons
Not only is the interior of this van designed beautifully, the mods are well thought out and were focused on an "everything you need, nothing you don't" approach. This build includes options like 330W of solar, Dark Star Offroad Series A roof rack, CATuned offroad bumper, integrated Warn Winch, and a tire carrier making it extremely functional without breaking the bank. They also optioned a Starlink system so they can stay connected no matter where their adventures take them.
